Captain Virat Kohli said:

We were placed under the pump in the first half and in the second half of Australia’s innings. Shubman and others in the team, it brings a bit of freshness. I think the pitch was much better for the bowlers. Then trust is lost. Playing international cricket for so long, this is the challenge before you. We were clinical with the ball and on the field. Pleased with the performance and hope we take the momentum forward

The player of the match, Hardik Pandya said:

This is good Working really hard to make sure that I play for my country, so I am really happy to play this series. Natarajan is quite a story, the background he comes from, gets a lot of inspiration from him. To compete against Australia you need to be on your toes. I think you always have that extra edge when you play against Australia, you want to face that challenge. “

Player of the series, Steve Smith said:

They have reached close to back to back games. A good series of cricket against a quality organization. I think it did more with the new ball. The fast bowlers bowled well, it was slightly different from the SCG. You just have to keep moving forward and be confident. Hopefully I will contribute to the upcoming games. There are no plans at the moment, hopefully one day closes.

The losing captain, Aaron Finch, said:

I felt that we fought really well. It was a wonderful partnership between Hardik and Jadeja. If we got one of those wickets, we could chase 240 Max. If he bowled beautifully, it was a good day for the changes we made. The impact the two spinners are having is significant. It is good when top ranking people contribute and then Maxie (Maxwell) can talk with Carrie and others. Hopefully, he is ready for T20I. There was only one Nagina.
