Brett Lee is one of the uncapped players who impressed him most in IPL 2020

The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) ended with Mumbai Indians (MI) and defeated the Delhi Capitals (DC) in the final Lifting the fifth trophy of the IPL. As the tournament ended, many cricket analysts and pundits are coming out with their opinions about the players and teams.

The new addition to this list is former Australia fast bowler Brett Lee. The veteran watches the entire tournament closely as he was one of the specialists for official broadcasters. The Indian League is a platform where many uncapped and underrated players get a chance to shoulder shoulders with the great players of the game and are recognized for their talent and class in the cricket fraternity.

This year was no different as many untold domestic players managed to make a global statement with their heroines. During a conversation with Star Sports, Lee targeted the two Indian youth who were able to impress him most with their performance in the IPL 2020.

Devdutt Padikkal is an emerging player of the season series

Brett Lee spoke highly of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) opener Devdutt Padikkal, Who made his IPL debut this year, and Rajasthan Royals (RR) Rahul Tewatia. Lee also praised runners-up Delhi Capitals for playing some fearless brand of cricket and emphasized how difficult it was to conduct the tournament in the absence of fans.

“It has been incredible. It has been tough without fans, but for me, the best part of this season has been the young Indian players. Devdutt Padikkals, Twenty three… We have seen Delhi capitals playing some good cricket, so, I would say fast bowlers too, but I will always say fast bowlers, ”Brett Lee said while talking to Star Sports.

Opener Devdutt impressed the people of the cricket fraternity with his class with Willow. The 20-year-old was named as the budding player of the IPL 2020 and ended up as the highest run-scorer for RCB, claiming such a legacy Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers and Aaron Finch on their behalf. Padakkal scored 473 runs at 31.53 in 15 matches with five half-centuries while maintaining a strike rate of 124.

On the other hand, Rahul Tewatia was a revelation for Rajasthan Royals. The all-rounder surprised the audience with his superb batting, tight bowling and acrobatic fielding skills. Tewatia scored 255 runs in 14 matches at a strike rate of 139 and took ten wickets.
