Hardik Pandya’s latest Instagram post has been the talk of the town since a couple of days. The Mumbai Indians all-rounder, on Monday, announced the news of a new addition to their family. Hardik and Natasa Stankovic, through a series of photos, confirmed that they’re expecting their first child together. The announcement erupted across social media in no time and the all-rounder was wished by many players including India skipper Virat Kohli.

Meanwhile, Hardik was involved in a chat with renowned cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle. During the conversation, the Baroda cricketer was asked to name six players who he thinks will fit in his ‘gully cricket’ team. Hardik was given a list of five players as openers– Rohit Sharma, David Warner, Chris Gayle, KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock.

To much surprise, Hardik went with Chris Gayle over Rohit Sharma as the opener of his side. Hardik further said that he was a big fan of Gayle and that’s the reason why he slotted the West Indian into his side.

Hardik Pandya also included brother Krunal in his team

Hardik was also asked if he wants to settle down in Jamaica or Trinidad after retirement. The all-rounder denied that possibility but praised the confidence that the West Indies players bring on to the field.

Following Gayle, Hardik chose current India captain Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni as the next two names in his ‘gully cricket’ side. Next in Hardik’s side was another West Indies international, Andre Russell. Hardik picked Russell as the all-rounder of his side over the likes of Ravindra Jadeja and Ben Stokes.

To finish things off, Hardik went with two Mumbai Indians players in his side. Hardik slotted his brother Krunal Pandya into the team, followed by speedster Jasprit Bumrah.

After being sidelined due to injury, Hardik was set to make his comeback into the national side in the ODI series against South Africa. However, the first match of the series at Dharmashala got called off due to rain. Furthermore, the subsequent two ODI games were also cancelled in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak. Moreover, with the indefinite postponement of IPL 2020, Hardik currently has no choice but to wait for a while until the sporting action resumes.
