‘I lost the biggest support of my life’ – Mohammad Siraj’s father died at the age of 53

Mohammed Siraj’s father, 53-year-old Mohammed Gowhouse, died in Hyderabad on Friday due to a lung disease. He breathed his last at a hospital in Hyderabad. Siraj is currently in Sydney, Australia With Team India for the upcoming Australia series. He was selected for the four-match Test series, which is to begin on 17 December.

According to the Sportstar website, the news has reportedly reached Siraj, Australia. He came to know about the sad news after completing his practice session in Sydney. After listening to the news, Siraj said that his father is the biggest support of his life.

“My father always wished – my son, Des Ka Naam Roshan Karna (My son, you should make my country proud).” And, I will do it for sure, ”Pacer told Sportstar. “It’s shocking.” I lost the biggest support of my life. He told me that it was my dream to play for the country and I am happy that the way I felt and brought happiness for him, ”he told the website.

Mohammad Siraj did not return to India for funeral

With stricter COVID-19 quarantine regulations in place in Sydney, it is quite difficult for the speedster to return to India for his father’s funeral. Pacer was part of the recently concluded RCB franchise Ipl 2020. His magical performance came against KKR in Abu Dhabi. After that spell, Siraj revealed that her father was not feeling well in a video released by RCB.

“My father is unwell these days. His lungs are bad, so he has difficulty breathing. I’m really worried about this. I can’t even go home to meet them and inspire them. I talk on the phone but whenever I do, she starts crying. I can’t even talk for long because I don’t like to see her crying. So I disconnected the phone early because I couldn’t hold myself for much longer. Therefore, I pray to God for his good health. He was hospitalized before the last game. I was really worried that Dad was in the hospital, ”Siraj told in a video posted by RCB after the KKR game.

The fast bowler played in 9 innings for RCB in IPL 2020 and took 11 wickets. He had the best performance (3/8) against KKR.
