
Kings XI Punjab comes up with creative tweet on World Environment Day
The Covid-19 pandemic has brought most of the countries on their knees and there’s no running away from it results.The year with double 2 & 0 hasn’t even been a normal year thus far for the world
The economy in most parts of the globe have threatened to go into the doldrums.
The death tolls are increasing at the rate of knots as the world waits anxiously in search for a vaccine, hoping for some relief, if not a lot.
Amidst the chaos, cyclones have also wreaked havoc. A couple of weeks ago, it was Amphan that unfolded mayhem in West Bengal and Odisha.
Then a couple of days ago, it was the turn of Nisarga to take down Mumbai. It goes without saying that 2020 will be deemed as one of the darkest years in the history of mankind.
The worst part is that around seven months still waiting for us yet.
Mild earthquakes haven’t made things any easier for people either. Even as Mother Nature heals, on June 5, the counties celebrated ‘World Environment Day’.
On the special day, Kings XI Punjab, the Indian Premier League franchise dropped a tweet, making people aware of the need to save the world.
“Don’t be insensitive towards the environment. This #WorldEnvironmentDay, take a pledge to save the world.,” KXIP’s tweet read.

Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma, who both as stalwarts for the national team in the shorter formats, urged their fans to preserve nature.
Dhawan took to Twitter and wrote, “We are all connected to nature in many ways, hence it’s our duty to preserve and take care of it. This #WorldEnvironmentDay, let us all take the pledge to keep our beautiful nature clean and protect it.”

In India, the coronavirus cases have gone above 2,27,000 with 6,348 deaths being reported thus far. Maharashtra has been deeply affected with the death tolls up to 2,710. For the time being, it remains to be seen how things pan out in the next few months.
