The Chennai Super Kings players who are not part of the Australia tour left for India after the Indian Premier League’s ongoing season in the UAE was ruled out. CSK won their last three matches of the season, but their campaign ended after the final match with Kings XI Punjab. They beat KXIP by nine wickets in their last match and thus KL Rahul and company were also eliminated from the tournament.

CSK had a terrible season this year, as they lost the playoff race for the first time in IPL history. His form, squad planning, and many decisions came under a lot of questions. Even the form of captain MS Dhoni has been heavily criticized as he was unable to score runs off the bat on many occasions. Although they have ended on a disappointing note, captain MSD has promised to do better next season.
