No Decision On T20 World Cup Before July says NZ Cricket CEO

David White, The New Zealand Cricket CEO said that no decision on the postponement of the T20 World Cup owing to the COVID-19 pandemic will be taken before July’2020.
‘There’s contingency planning going on and lots of discussions but no decisions will be made… if decisions are made… it will be in July,’ said White.
White further said: “Postponement has certainly not been discussed at all. postponement has not been even on the agenda.”
“Cricket Australia is working very closely with the government authorities and they are planning to go ahead in October and November.
Aaron Finch thinks T20 World Cup May Be Postponed
Aaron Finch feels the deadly COVID-19 pandemic may lead to the postponement of the T20 World Cup which is to e held in Australia this year by up to three months.
“I think we might have to get our heads around a T20 World Cup that might be postponed for a month, two months, three months, whatever it has to be,” said Finch
Finch also told that he wouldn’t mind seeing the game resuming without fans once the pandemic is brought under control.
The T20 World Cup is scheduled in Australia from October 18 to November 15.
