Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma has been ruled out of IPL 2020.
Bad news for MI fans who have nearly confirmed their place in the playoffs. The team’s regular captain Rohit Sharma is now out of the current season & the captaincy role is handed over to Pollard.
The Indian team going on tour to Australia was announced on Monday. Rohit Sharma’s name was not included in the squad announced for the team of all three formats. After the team selection, the chief selector stated that the injury to the captain of Mumbai is serious. Rohit’s absence from the squad selected for Australia tour means that he is not fit at the moment.
Earlier Today BCCI tweeted : “The BCCI Medical Team will continue to monitor the progress of Rohit Sharma”.
Rohit Sharma was injured during the double super over match against Punjab. Rohit Sharma therefore is out of IPL 2020 with hamstring injury.
