Team India is set to play three ODIs, three T20Is and four Tests in Australia from 27 November. Jumbo squad Have already traveled to Sydney where all the players will be separated for a few days. One thing that caught the attention of many was when the BCCI announced that Rohit Sharma’s name was not included from the three sections. The board cited the hamstring injury as the reason for his exclusion.

However, Rohit Sharma came to bat in the last league match of Mumbai Indians and also did well in the final of IPL 2020, when he hit a match-winning 68 against the Delhi Capitals. His knock helped his franchise win a record fifth IPL title. However, the BCCI was in a hurry to include Rohit in the Test team for the tour of Australia.

Speaking on the entire controversy, former Indian cricketer and commentator Sanjay Manjrekar said that he has no clarity on the whole ‘Rohit Sharma fitness’ issue. He also said that the BCCI did not give proper information and this helped to increase speculation.

“Rohit Sharma has zero clarity on the fitness issue. I am sure that BCCI should stand and so does Rohit. And when people do not get information there is speculation. So, I have no clarity on what is going on there, ”Manjrekar told CricTest YouTube channel.

Suryakumar Yadav will get a chance soon: Sanjay Manjrekar

Manjrekar also said that the uncapped batsman Suryakumar Yadav He will get his chance in the Indian team soon. The Mumbai Indians top-order batsman did well in the tournament, but failed to make it to any team for the tour of Australia. According to the former Indian opener, Suryakumar has good days and is confident that the player will be called as a replacement for any injured player on the tour of Australia.

“When a team is announced for a big tour, like the one in Australia where the Indian team will be around for three-four months, we think it is the team that will be playing. However, as we are talking, slowly and gradually we will get to see that by the end of the tour, all the players in India will have played in Australia. ”

“I have no doubt that Rohit Sharma will play when he is fit. Suryakumar Yadav will also get a chance somewhere on the tour as it often happens that some injuries happen and is called replacement. I think four-five players who have not been selected for the tour due to fitness or some other issues will play in the upcoming tour.
