With the lockdown going across the country, there are no live sports for fans to enjoy. However, during this period fans have been treated with the interactions between their favourite sporting stars. Indian football team captain Sunil Chettri caught up with the Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli on Sunday.

The interaction was a part of the new show named ‘Eleven On Ten’ started by the football star on his official Instagram profile. During the live chat session, Chettri asked a very interesting question to Kohli. He gave him a situation in which he needs to score three runs off the last ball.

“You need three runs of the last ball, you can choose the bowler, I am giving you two options– Shane Warne or Waqar Younis,” asked Chhetri.

Virat Kohli also heaped praise on Tendulkar’s Sharjah knock

To this, the batsman replied, “I would prefer to face Waqar Younis. Firstly Shane Warne hardly bowled during the death overs and secondly, I would believe in my ability to score off the yorkers bowled by Waqar Younis”, Kohli explained.

Recalling the time when he had played the legendary leg-spinner, the Indian cricket captain revealed that Warne had made him look like a fool during the IPL 2009. He then said about the next time when the two players came up against each other. The 31-year-old also talked about what the legendary player advised him not to do on the field.

“Shane Warne made me look like a fool during IPL in 2009. I played him again in 2011 in Rajasthan, nothing significant happened there. He did not get me out, I did not score many runs against him. After the match, he came up to me and said never say anything back to the bowler, but obviously I did not listen (laughs),” he added.

During their interaction, Kohli was also asked which would be the one innings which he would want to have played from the past. In reply, the right-handed batsman said “Desert Storm, Tendulkar’s semi-final innings of 140+ against Australia in Sharjah in 1998.”

Kohli sees Tendulkar as his idol and he has openly stated that many times. The innings which the batsman is referring to was one of the best knocks played by the ‘Master Blaster’.
