The Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) is currently underway with matches being played at five different grounds in the city in Sydney. The tournament began on October 25 amidst the COVID-19 epidemic and some extraordinary cricket. The Sydney Sixers and Perth Scorchers played horns with each other in Match 31 of the competition at Sydney’s Blacktown International Sportspark on Wednesday.

After batting first, the Sixers lost Alyssa Healy And Ashley Gardner hurried as they struggled to 16/2 in the fourth over. This is when Marijne Cap and Elise Perry joined hands to revive the innings. Reconstruction was well in line as both made a much needed and good partnership for the third wicket.

The South African players, Cap, scored 33 runs from 31 balls and looked in good touch. But suddenly, he needed some therapy. She was battling severe heat in Sydney and was retired. The reason for going off the field was probably due to the increased heart rate while batting due to heat.

Marijane Cup did not even come to bowl

After this, Marijane did not even come to bowl. Due to a pre-existing heart condition, the doctors did not allow him to go on the field and he did not want to take any chances with it. This is a major setback for the Sixers as they will miss their fast bowler with the ball, but the most important thing is that the team and management are expecting him to be healthy and recover soon.

As far as sports are concerned, Alice Perry Opened the innings and batted together for the entire 20 overs. She remained unbeaten on 62 off 52 balls with nine fours, while Dane Van Niekerk scored 15 runs off 13 balls, scoring a brief innings at the start of the innings. The Sixers scored 137 runs in their 20 overs at the loss of four wickets.

The Sydney Sixers may miss their all-rounder for the next few matches, even finishing third in the points table, winning four out of seven matches and losing only one.
