Just finished 2020 Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) was one of the most exciting and thrilling tournaments in the 13-year long history of the game. The League provided much needed relief and entertainment to the audience in these difficult times and kept them hooked on their television screens.

It was the most competitive season of the T20 Championship as all eight franchises fought tooth and nail to book a berth for themselves in the playoffs. Furthermore, it was the first time a team that finished eighth in the points table had twelve points in its bag. The cash-rich league came to an end, with Mumbai Indians beating the Delhi Capitals in the final on 10 November and lifting the prestigious T20 Trophy for the fifth time.

It is learned that IPL 2020 saw a record 28 percent increase in viewership despite the COVID-19 epidemic and bio-bubble challenges. Speaking about the successful implementation of the T20 League, IPL President Brijesh Patel welcomed the tournament and praised the title-sponsor Dream 11 for being associated with the IPL after VIVO pulled out his name from the sponsors. He praised the Dream 11 team for connecting fans to the league.

We are happy to see similar engagement on Dream 11: Dream 11 executives

IPL Chairman Brijesh Patel quoted Sportstar as saying, “IPL has always strived to provide a world class sporting event for its fans. With Dream 2020 coming on board as the title sponsor for IPL 2020, we are happy to see Fan 11’s growing digital engagement through fantasy sports. “

“It is equally captivating to see how Dream 11 has integrated its users into all Dream 11 IPL match activations. The match countdown, the wall of Dream 11 champion fans and the virtual guest box have all been brought in to bring the fans in front of them, ”he said.

Dream 11 Chief Marketing Officer, Vikrant Mudaliar, revealed how IPL has created a good fan base for fictional games in India and more and more people are not engaging with it.

“The IPL is India’s largest sports competition which is witness to an extremely high fan following, and we are happy to see a similar engagement on Dream 11. The fantasy game has become increasingly part of fan engagement with every IPL. Sports fans are at the center of everything we do, and we have integrated our users into all Dream 11 IPL match activities, ”said Vikrant.
